Jim Ryerson is the engine behind SalesOctane. Enthusiastic, compelling and motivating, he applies his sales successes and experience in every SalesOctane presentation.

Over the past 25 years, Jim’s extensive real-life selling experience includes sales positions with Herman Miller, Inc., including President of Herman Miller Workplace Resource. As a sales professional with Herman Miller, Jim was awarded the Cube Award and consistently grew sales in his territory. Most notable was growing annual sales over 20% during an industry downturn as well as increasing profitability for his territory by over 2000%.

During this same time, Herman Miller Inc. was ranked as one of the top 25 Best Sales Forces by Sales & Marketing magazine (July 1999).

Jim now tours the country as founder and president of SalesOctane. He is also an active member of YEO – Young Entrepreneurs Organization, the Edison Creativity Council and a board member of WEO – World Entrepreneurs Organization.
